About the event

Homeschool Days at Conestee Nature Preserve are open to children ages 5-11 years old.  You will drop your child off with us to spend the day exploring and learning about the natural resources found at CNP. We host 3 homeschool days in the fall and 3 more in the spring.

October 16 - Mastering Migration

This session is all about birds and bird migration. The younger group will review the characteristics of birds, identify some of the most popular species of birds at CNP, investigate bird's unique adaptations, and learn all about why birds migrate. The older students will go into more depth about bird family characteristics, spend time birding with binoculars, and investigate all the different ways birds use their senses during migration.
