GROUP SIZE
CNP requires a minimum of 10 participants to book a field trip, and can accommodate a maximum of 75 students/day. Groups larger than 75 can divide and schedule on multiple days.

FIELD TRIP PREPARATION
Field trips take place outdoors. K5-12th grade participants can expect to walk up to 1 mile. Children and adults should dress appropriately for weather conditions. If the high temperature for the day will be over 70 degrees please allow students to bring water bottles or provide water for them.

LUNCH
Lunch breaks are included in our full day field trips. All participants should bring their own lunch. Schools can also choose to have lunch delivered from the Chick-fil-a or Jimmy John’s in Mauldin.

CHAPERONES
All groups are required to have a minimum of two chaperones per class. Chaperones include teachers, teacher aides and parents. The maximum number of chaperones allowed per class is 1 for every 5 students. Any chaperones beyond the maximum of 1 adult per 5 students will be charged the same rate as the students.

PLAYGROUND
All groups are welcome to stay past the end time for their field trip and play on the playground. Conestee Nature Preserve does not manage the playground, therefore we can not guarantee access.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
CNP will make weather-related cancellation decisions the morning of the program. In the event of cancellation, we will call your contact by 7:30am.

DURATION
Pre-K field trips are 2 hours long, while most K-12 grade trips are 3.5-4 hours long.
