Hurricane Helene rampages through the Upstate. The storm caused damages to the Preserve estimated to be in the millions. Our 14-mile trail network was completely covered in downed trees.

West Bay Boardwalk Reopens

Woodie Walk Observatory Opens
A two-story observation deck with a short, but scenic boardwalk is the last major piece of infrastructure to be rebuilt following Hurricane Helene. The replacement and reimagining of one of the Preserve's most treasured places was generously funded by Greenville Women Giving.
