About the event
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a… bee or maybe a butterfly? Youth, families, and adults of all ages are invited to learn about the lives and variety of pollinators in Greenville County, identify common flower visitors, impacts of stormwater pollution, and step into community science with Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District. Discover simple ways to become a scientist from your own backyard, garden, or local park by contributing to pollinator research with the Great Sunflower Project and the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. Learn more about free wildflowers available at the Seed Library, and what you can do to support pollinator conservation at home. Bring a water bottle, hat, sun protection, and dress prepared to explore the busy world of insects at the Henderson Meadow.
