|Greenville
Come learn about the small beetle that is causing major changes at Conestee.
Time & Location
Jul 27, 2024, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Greenville, 840 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607, USA
About the event
A small beetle is causing major changes at Conestee. The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is wreaking havoc on the Preserve's ash trees. And since ash trees are one of our most ecologically important canopy species, this will have a noticeable effect on Conestee's overall habitat. If you would like to learn how we can help our remaining ash trees and how we're replacing our fallen trees, join Conestee's Habitat and Engagement Specialist, Ben, for an educational and inspiring hike through some of the most vulnerable parts of our Preserve.
WHERE
We will meet at the River Entrance (widely considered our main entrance) at 840 Mauldin Rd. Gather under the archway at the trailhead (A on our Map).
WHEN Please plan to arrive by 7:45 a.m. so the program can begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
WEATHER
If the weather is not cooperative, we will communicate by e-mail should we need to cancel.
CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be made 3 days prior to the event for a full refund.
