About the event
Have you ever been out on a hike and thought to yourself, this would be much easier with a perfectly crafted stick to aid each step? Better yet, have you ever considered hand-crafting that walking stick yourself, using natural and locally sourced wood?! If so, you've stumbled into the correct CNP program!
Longtime Conestee Nature Preserve supporter and volunteer, Dennis DeFrancesco, will guide your carving efforts, as you create a walking stick that is unique to you. You'll choose from a selection of previously harvested tree saplings that are perfectly suited to be transformed into a functional and personalized walking stick.
