About the event
That's right, come and make your very own walking stick, so you're ready for all the beautiful fall foliage hikes (and summer sweltering ones, if hot hiking is your thing)! Longtime Conestee Nature Preserve supporter and volunteer, Dennis DeFrancesco, will guide your carving efforts, as you create a walking stick that is unique to you. You'll choose from a selection of previously harvested tree saplings that are perfectly suited to be transformed into a functional and personalized walking stick.
WHERE We will meet at our Fork Shoals entrance Fork Shoals Rd. (D on our Map).
WHEN Please plan to arrive by 10:20 a.m. so we can walk to the shortleaf shelter together and the program can begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.
WEATHER If the weather is not cooperative, we will communicate by e-mail should we need to cancel.
CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be made 3 days prior to the event for a full refund.
